New Power Supply and the Dali Lama

I got my power supply replacement today and had a hell of time getting XP to load. I was going to reload XP on a new drive and go from there, but something wonderful happened. We decided to search for the bios updates again and came across one that you run out of XP. We hooked my drive back up and booted into XP and ran it and lo and behold it fixed the issues I was having with the serial ATA controller. Fuck yeah! I am so glad that I don't have to reload everything again.

Hopefully I wont blow another power supply.

My son and I went out to Bestbuy before my husband got home and bought him his birthday presents. We got him a new flat panel monitor like the one I have, (Samsung's SyncMaster 204b) and Half-Life 2 for the PC. He's the big 45 tomorrow.

My husband also found out that the Dali Lama is going to be at Emory University in Georgia from October 20th to the 22nd this year. He told me to make the hotel reservations and start planning the trip. He knows how much I want to see him and hopefully shake his hand. He has the most beautiful face I have ever seen. I have all but one of his books and have read them several times. Once I meet him my next goal is to meet Bruce Campbell. I know, no comparison there.

Here is the info on his visit to Emory.
